Group - Greek American Rehabilitation Center |
The Orpheus Youth group visited
the Geek American Rehabilitation and Care Center. They presented a
suite of dances from different regions of Greece accompanied by members
of the Orpheus music group

At the conclusion of the
presentation, members of the Youth group presented cards and flowers to
residents of the center. The cards contained hand written notes
from the youth kids. A few of the parents assisted in preparing
the commemorative gifts.

Celebration 2010 |
The traditional Orpheus Vasilopita
Celebration took place for one more year. Father Rallis and Father
Malamis presided over the blessing of the Vasilopitas

decorated vasilopita and the winner of the coin got an Orpheus 20th Year

The morning of the Vasilopita
event a mini workshop was conducted by members of the Orpheus dance
group and the Kyklos dance group from Detroit. Elena Vranas from
the Apollo dance group from Aurora joined the workshop also.

Members of the Orpheus Youth group
participated at the annual International Fair at Hoffman Elementary
school.

designated class under the direction of Mrs. Foula Joseph, kids got to
experience the making of the 'komboloi' or worry beats.
